Planet Zoo is a zoo business simulation game developed and published by British game developer Frontier Developments. It is the second game in the company's Planet series of business simulation games after 2016's Planet Coaster. Announced in April of 2019, the game was released on November 5.

Base Game Features[]
Scenery Themes:
Animals: The animals in Planet Zoo fall into two distinct categories: Habitat Animals and Exhibit Animals. Habitat Animals are species that are larger and have all of the features for animals in the game. Examples include the Reticulated Giraffe, Fossa, Moose, and Siberian Tiger. Exhibit Animals are species that are contained within a small box, and don't have all of the features of animals include in the game. Examples include Green Iguana, Egyptian Fruit Bat, Goliath Birdeater, and Red Eyed Tree Frog. Initially, Frontier stated that 50 animals would be included in the base game. In reality, there were 73 animals when the game first shipped on November 5, 2019. As of April 2024, there are 187 unique species in the game.
